Dr Sherene Alexander
Dr Sherene Alexander is a board registered Paediatric Dentist with appointments as Staff Specialist at Westmead Centre for Oral Health, Sydney Dental Hospital and The Sydney Children's Hospital Network ( Westmead and Randwick). Sherene's clinical interests include interceptive orthodontics, medically compromised children, paediatric oral pathology and dental trauma.
Training
Sherene has over twenty years of experience as a specialist. Prior to her position at Westmead, she has worked at TUFTS University, Boston and has enjoyed a short stint at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne and then as a Regional Dental Officer for Dental Health Services (DHSV), Victoria.
Teaching
Currently, Sherene is involved in post graduate training as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at The University of Sydney. Her research is widely published and she lectures extensively with a special interest in paedatric oral pathology and dental trauma. Her passion and enthusiasm in training future pediatric dental specialists reflects her commitment towards contributing to professional development in her chosen specialty.
